“My goal this year is to help our brand-new greenhouse be a success.”

When Mario G. moved to Leamington, ON in 2008, he was coming from Guatemala with a Mechanical degree from the University of San Carlos and experience working within the Guatemalan agriculture industry. Once in Canada, Mario realized there were many career opportunities at greenhouse farms, and he has been working in them ever since!

Working in the greenhouse industry for the past 11 years has been a continuous growing experience for Mario: “I’ve learned so much about this industry, especially working with people from different countries around the world. At Nature Fresh Farms, I’ve been given the opportunity to keep learning and growing.”

Mario now works as a Greenhouse Supervisor in our newest Tomato greenhouse in Leamington, ON: “By opening a new greenhouse, I have been able to show Nature Fresh Farms what I can do as a leader. My goal this year is to help make a success of this new facility.”

Most of Mario’s free time is spent with his family, especially with his two young daughters. He also enjoys keeping in touch with people who have had similar experiences to his in Canada.

As a Greenhouse Supervisor, Mario believes one of the most important parts of his role is taking care of the people he supervises. When it comes to the plants, Mario also makes sure our team follows instructions given by our Growers to keep the plants healthy, and he always shares ideas to help our operation succeed.
