Originally from St. Catharines, ON, Nick P. has always been surrounded by the produce industry. Not only did his dad work at a local grocery store and his mom at a wholesale produce company – Nick also worked at a grocery store during his high school days. After studying International Business at Niagara College, Nick got into the supply chain and procurement side of produce. And now, Nick is a member of our Procurement team!

His previous experience with purchasing fresh produce provides Nick with a unique perspective: “Bringing this perspective to the team can help us understand what we need to do to keep growing as a company. While there are several nuances to learn in this role, having previous produce purchasing experience has resulted in a lot of good conversations about how we can be the most effective as a company.”

A team player through and through, Nick is looking forward to doing all he can to help ensure our team’s success: “Moving to a new area for this role was a huge decision for me, but it has turned out to be nothing but positive so far. After trying to learn and absorb as much as I can in my first few months here, I am looking forward to contributing to the success of our team.”

An avid sports fan, Nick spends much of his free time watching sports with friends and going to live games whenever he can. Nick’s dream is to see a home game in every NFL stadium (and he has already crossed 6 off his list)! Nick also enjoys playing golf in the summertime.

In his role with our Procurement team, it is Nick’s responsibility to make sure that we have enough inventory to satisfy all our customers’ orders and to help identify strong growing partners across North America. All of this relies on Nick’s ability to ensure that strong relationships with our partners are developed and maintained. Nick is one of our #GrowToPeople!
