“I understand the big picture of the industry and I can see where new opportunities exist.”

Originally from Holland, Robert V.D. G. got his first taste of the greenhouse industry while working with cut flower growers. After running a cut flower project in Mexico for 5 years, Robert returned to Holland and switched to the produce side of greenhouse growing. In 2016, Robert moved back to Mexico to manage greenhouses in the region, and we are excited to welcome him to the Nature Fresh Farms team as our General Manager at our new Mexican greenhouse operation!

There are many reasons why Robert enjoys what he does so much: “Growing produce requires a team, and I love building teams so we can get the job done together. I also like seeing all the new innovations being applied in our industry, including AI and data collection. And you can’t help but feel good about the products you’re growing and selling—healthy food!”

The opportunity to join the Nature Fresh Farms team and head up our new operation in Mexico is something Robert sees as very special: “One of the first things I’ve noticed about this company is the real team environment, which is a fantastic achievement for a company this large. I’m looking forward to working with a team that is so innovative and constantly pursuing growth.”

When he isn’t working, Robert spends much of his time with his family. He also enjoys travelling, cooking, and working out whenever he has the time.

As the General Manager at our Mexico-based greenhouse operation, Robert will be responsible for the initial set up of the facility. He will also take care of personnel and operational management to ensure the facility runs smoothly. Robert is excited to help integrate this new operation into the Nature Fresh Farms family!
