Sandra S., who started out as a General Laborer at our Maumee, OH warehouse, accepted a position as our Food Safety Compliance Assistant! Sandra has always liked working in agriculture and food production – before working for NatureFresh™, she worked for a company that grew sprouts and microgreens, as well as at a cheese production facility.
Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) training has been a big part of Sandra’s professional career: “As the Health and Food Safety Compliance Assistant in Maumee, I was able to obtain a Practical HACCP training certificate, which allows me to properly monitor, document, and ensure the safety of our products.”
NatureFresh™ has given Sandra an opportunity to advance her knowledge and take pride in her work: “With this position, I can get into the ‘meat and potatoes’, so to speak, of HACCP – ensuring the quality and safety of our products and our working environment, as well as the cleanliness of our facility, is paramount.”
Along with ensuring the food we send to our customers is safe, Sandra is also interested in growing her own food on a hobby farm some day!
You can find Sandra at our warehouse in Maumee overseeing pre-production and post-production sanitization, as well as ensuring all proper hygiene practices are being followed by our team. Sandra is one of the #GrowToPeople!
