Tere V. moved to the United States from Mexico when she was a teenager and her parents were looking for new work opportunities. Her father has always worked in agriculture, so he encouraged Tere to explore it herself – which is what led her to work at Nature Fresh Farms! Tere has recently transitioned into a new role at our Delta, OH facility – she is now our Human Resources (HR) Specialist and Food & Health Safety Coordinator!

Since starting at our farm, Tere has had many new and rewarding experiences: “I have learned a lot since I started at Nature Fresh Farms, and I have come to really love my job! I’ve had the opportunity to develop and use many transferrable skills, and I’ve also become more determined and developed greater perseverance while working with this team.”

What Tere loves most about her new role is being able to make a difference and have a positive impact: “The Food and Health Safety team at Nature Fresh Farms has an impact on the health and well-being of millions of people! We have an important responsibility to prevent potentially dangerous pathogens from contaminating our food supply. I’m happy I have a role to play in protecting people and upholding our company’s high standards.”

In addition to spending time with her family, Tere loves travelling and photography – for her, these are a form of therapy. She has also been a proud volunteer for a non-profit organization that provides legal services in Northwestern Ohio and beyond for the last 10 years.

As a member of both our Human Resources and Food & Health Safety teams, Tere is responsible for identifying and minimizing food safety risks in the workplace. She is also responsible for ensuring all the practices, process controls, and sanitation protocols that support our food safety program are followed by all team members.
