This Will Be A Summer To Remember

Upon arriving home from my weekend at NatureFresh, all of my friends and family wanted to hear about my experience. They all knew how excited and anxious I was for this weekend and as I talked through everything; starting with dinner Friday night and going all the way to Sunday afternoon, I couldn’t help but feel that I wasn’t doing the weekend justice. I shared the highlights; meeting the team and other staff, tasting various cherry and grape tomatoes straight from the vine, talking about IPM, learning about the growing process and values of the company, watching the beef steak image scanner, and of course the amazing food we had.

While it was evident that I had a great time and learned so much; I felt like I left out the little things that made the weekend so great; and I didn’t know how to put them into words. The easiest way to say it would be that I made the right decision to apply for and accept this position.

This summer will be filled with challenges and I have already thought about those; and maybe even worried about them a little bit. But this weekend really validated my decision and made me forget about anything that I was worried about. This truly is an opportunity of a lifetime and I am so excited to be a part of it! I am looking forward to getting to know the team better as well as the rest of the Grow-To-People at NatureFresh. I am looking forward to all that I will learn in the coming weeks, and months. And I am looking forward to the way that I will grow personally from this experience. I will be challenged, I am sure. But I can’t wait for all that is to come.
Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to get this weekend to happen; Chris, Kara, Henry, and Jessica. And thank you to everyone who took the time to talk with us and share with us what they do at NatureFresh! I felt so welcomed to be there and I can’t wait to be back in May!
