Job Details
Shipping/Receiving Supervisor oversees all areas in the shipping department. The Shipping/Receiving Supervisor ensures that all personnel in the shipping area are following all policies and procedures to ensures the final quality of the product, as well as, the sanitation of the Shipping/Receiving department and that all packed product is in the best condition for distribution. Shipping/Receiving Supervisor guarantees that all Nature Fresh procedures are being followed and implementing training when needed for all personnel in the shipping area. In the event of an absence, the Division Manager will appoint another employee who has been fully trained and is competent to complete the job duties pertaining to the position of Shipping/Receiving Supervisor. In the event that there is not another employee suitable for the position, the Division Manager will step in to perform all duties of the Shipping Supervisor.
Job Responsibilities
- Ensures employees are aware of and follow all company policies and procedures
- Ensures job descriptions are understood and followed
- Reports all non-conformances to appropriate personnel
- Ensures any visitors or non-employees are aware and following Nature Fresh food safety and quality policies
- Responsible for all “pick ticket” entries into ERP System
- Responsible for various other entries into computer programs
- Identify pick ticket errors & work with Inventory Coordinator to make correcting entries
- Receive transfer sheets for incoming product
- Ensure bill of loading is included when assembling documentation to accompany shipments
- Perform driver “check in” & confirm carrier for shipments
- Coordinate release of the shipments with QC/Commodity Manager
- Ensure that various checks are performed including inspection of truck interior for each load
- Responsible for ensuring trucks leave at the appointed time
- Responsible for co-ordinating the employees based on the ETA of the truck for pick up
- Responsible for all activities performed by the logistics clerk
- Ensures that Shipping employees are picking orders in the correct sequence to meet truck exit times
- Ensures that all employees are performing the proper checks to ensure there is no mis-ships (load sheets, second check at loading)
Job Requirements
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent for this position
- Relevant warehouse experience within the last 5 years, preferably within shipping and receiving responsibilities
- Previous Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to coach, delegate, provide direction to staff and resolve issues fairly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software programs
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment.
- Ability to work in a fast environment by multitasking and prioritizing work while being attentive to details and quality.

Job Responsibilities
- Unloading trucks assigned by the Shipping Supervisor and notifying the correct personnel when production is unloaded
- Completing inspections located on the pick ticket
- Completing “food safety’ checks
- Using pick tickets and loading sheets to begin loading
- Verifying the correct commodity, color, sizing, pack style, quantities, labels, etc. based off of the order prior to signing off on pick ticket.
- Correcting any discrepancies found prior to signing pick ticket

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive, and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Job Responsibilities
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Perform highly diversified duties to install packing line equipment and maintain production machines, greenhouse facilities, and PVC piping and grounds
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities as needed
- Apply mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and troubleshooting repair of production machines
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, and test and adjust as needed
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities and forklifts
- Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper Supervisors
- Comply with Safety Regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
- Calibrate equipment including but not limited to (HVAC compressors, Production wrapper, assembly lines)
- Provide maintenance on AC units, replace filters and other as assigned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Specific Duties
- Complete any necessary maintenance of the packing lines or facility.
- No string, cardboard, tape, wire or other unsuitable material is to be used for temporary repairs.
- Upon completion of a repair or maintenance of equipment all tools, metal fragments, excess grease and lubricants are to be removed.
- A RRM is completed by each service technician when work is performed on any equipment that impacts Food Safety.
- Each record must be dated and signed (or initialed) by the service technician and given to the maintenance manager.
- The maintenance technician tracks repairs and determines if and when any piece of equipment would have to be added to the Maintenance Program.
- Perform weekly and daily checks on warehouse thermometers, forklifts, AC units, and report findings to production supervisor and EHS personnel.
- Inspect production conveyors and address repairs as needed to guarantee correct equipment functioning.
- Apply critical thinking and provide creative solutions to address the issues that arise with the facility and equipment. Support production team, so equipment is always running, and daily and weekly goals are met.
- The maintenance tech are responsible for checking their work orders on ConnectWise and prioritizing them on a regular basis. The Production Supervisor would assist with prioritizing.
- Closing work orders as completed.
- The Maintenance Program includes:
- Any required tasks that were completed, and all tasks are recorded as completed on the appropriate RRM.
- The technician signs off and dates the bottom of the RRM and indicates that equipment has been cleaned and tools have been cleaned and sanitized.
- Calibration and cleaning on existing equipment to optimize equipment functioning.
- Perform preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
Job Requirements
- High School diploma with technical training and/or experience
- Background in mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair
- PLC, packing line, conveyor maintenance experience is an asset
- Experience with forklifts, conveyors, hydraulic and/or pneumatic equipment an asset
- Must be knowledgeable in standard maintenance practices (such as lubrication, adjustments, set-up, calibration, etc.)
- Automated Process Control or Material Handling Equipment maintenance experience

Job Description
The Greenhouse Machine Operator is an integral member of our growing team. Working in a team of 2 they operate the UV-C light which prevents the growth of mildew to provide optimal growth of our strawberry crop. This position requires a commitment to Health and Safety as strict PPE procedures must be followed at all times.
Health and Safety

Job Specific Duties
- Required to suit up in the approved Personal Protective Equipment taking careful consideration for any damaged equipment/PPE.
- Follow all Occupational Health and Safety regulations when operating machinery.
- Complete daily pre-operational checks ensuring the machine is in good working order including lights working properly and unit drives properly.
- Operate multiple UVC units within the greenhouse applying the light to a specified amount acreage per night ensuring each row is run 3 times per week.
- Move the UVC machines row to row adjusting the machine to accommodate each row and clearing rails to ensure the machine is not obstructed.
- Operating scissor carts remotely and/or manually to clear pathways
- Minor machine troubleshooting.
- Daily house keeping ensuring to clean the unit at the end of each shift.
- Complete daily post-operational check and store the machines in designated area,
- Ensure the Daily Log Sheet is completed for tracking.
- Submit work tickets for repairs or preventative maintenance.
- Additional duties as assigned by the company.
Qualifications
- First aid certification is required in this role, will be provided by the company.
- Must be safety conscious at all times and follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision throughout the shift.

Working Conditions
- Required to work the night shift 6 nights per week, 6-8 hours per night. Shift start time will vary based on the season; 6PM start time in the winter months and 9PM start time in the summer.
- UVC Light operation requires extensive training and will be provided by the company including First Aid training and certification.
- The greenhouse may be hot, wet, humid, or cold at any time during the year.
- There will be exposure to bees and various pests within the greenhouse.
Physical Requirements
This is an active role where the majority of the shift will require walking, bending, pushing and pulling.

A Greenhouse Supervisor works with the Greenhouse Labor Manager, Human Resources, Health & Safety and the Growers to ensure that production and other processes run smoothly. They are responsible for training, organizing and delegating work and ensuring that employees are applying proper plant maintenance and picking quality fruit for successful plant growth and production.

- Responsible for reviewing employee labour tracking system as well as notifying employees if they are not logging jobs and hours properly

Job Description
The IT Technician supports the workplace by installing, maintaining and supporting various applications that are electronic in nature. They ensure all our employees can communicate seamlessly with one another and are able to utilize all of our technological tools without issues. In addition, the IT Technician is to always improve any setup, infrastructure or maintenance on an ongoing basis and look to educate end users where possible on how to use Technology available.

Job Specific Duties
Address work orders and other ongoing projects such as network/software implementation
Install and maintain network infrastructure
- Implement new networks. Install cat6 or fiber optic cabling, patch panels, wall terminations, network switches
- Maintain existing wired network. Repair damaged cable runs. Repair damaged terminations
- Use cable testing tools to verify and certify wired connections and bring them to certification standards
- Configure wireless access points and wireless point to point communication, both internal wireless and to outside locations
- Monitor and maintain wireless networks. Point to Point connections can become unstable if outside interference happens. This occurs if similar frequencies are established by outside companies/individuals
- Install and maintain the following physical hardware
- Printers
- Add new printers and share from the main server
- Apply appropriate configuration to the printer
- Add printer to each end user PC
- Depending on location a network cable run may be required
- Conduct end user training for the new unit
- Perform ongoing maintenance including toner/ink replacement, fuser/imaging unit replacement. Contact the vendor technician for non-consumable repairs, if needed, (ex. gear replacement, internal hardware replacement.
- Workstations and peripherals
- Stage/configure new systems with Windows and join to the domain
- Install user required software (ex. Priva Office, MS Office, Priva FS, Dynamics NAV)
- Repair existing systems when failure occurs (ex. replace video cards, power supplies, hard drive)
- Maintain Windows stability on older systems. Worst case scenario install a clean copy of Windows. Most times a thorough analysis and cleanup can be done without re-installing Windows
- Contact Vendors for Warranty repairs on computers
- VOIP desktop phones
- Manage VOIP PBX Server
- Create new extensions, update existing extensions, configure new desktop phones, repair existing desktop phones
- Maintain number of VOIP devices throughout the farm (ex. paging units)
- Battery backup units
- Every workstation, network device, vital piece of hardware requires a battery backup unit that holds at least 5 minutes of charge. Farm power switches to a fail over power source when primary fails. Battery units are in place, so systems aren’t affected during the transition
- Security Camera’s
- Install and maintain all video security cameras throughout the business
- Manage several security camera servers. User accounts, views, storage of video footage
Assist with support of the following when required:
- Mobile devices, email accounts, windows profile issues
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in computer science or equivalent education preferred; 3-year of demonstrated experience in the field is an asset.
- Strong background in Windows Server 2012R2 and above
- Experience in SharePoint Online, and Microsoft 365 Tools
- Experience with configuring/installing workstations, network switches, network routers, network cabling, AD Server user management and Exchange user management
- Any technical certifications are an asset, A+ Hardware/Software, MCSE
- Must be able to adapt to change, problem solve, use various tools to mount/install equipment
- Ability to work 45-60 hours per week
- Must be able to work on an on-call schedule and rotational weekend work

- Work hours Monday-Saturday with occasional Sunday’s; 40-60 hours per week; on an on-call schedule and rotational weekend schedule

Greenhouse Supervisor Night Shift – Strawberries

Job Description
A Greenhouse Supervisor works with the Greenhouse Labor Manager, Human Resources, Health & Safety and the Growers to ensure that production and other processes run smoothly. They are responsible for training, organizing and delegating work and ensuring that employees are applying proper plant maintenance and picking quality fruit for successful plant growth and production. The night shift supervisor monitors the activities of up to two employees that operate the UV-C light which prevents the growth of mildew to provide optimal growth of our strawberry crop.

- The supervisor shall stay actively involved in employee hands on training and follow-up to ensure all work is done efficiently and correctly. Training and development is required on an on-going basis
- Responsible for reviewing employee labour tracking system as well as notifying employees if they are not logging jobs and hours properly
- Motivating and encouraging workers and communicating with them as necessary
- Plan, delegate and lead the team well to improve performance and quality
- Complete compulsory paperwork according to policies set out by Nature Fresh
- Have full understanding of the Canker prevention and control procedure
