  • Senior Network Technician

    We are currently seeking an applicant to join our team as a full-time Senior Network Technician at our greenhouse operation in Leamington, ON.

    Job Details

    With over 900 employees, our Senior Network Technician plays an integral role in keeping our company connected by supporting critical business operations and ensuring all employees can communicate seamlessly. As our company continues to grow, we are looking for an individual who enjoys working in a collaborative team and can muti-task within our fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    Job duties include, but are not limited to:

    • Complete work orders and project tasks for network, system, software, and end-user support.
    • Provide end-user remote support
    • Complete internal and customer facing documentation
    • Administer and provide user accounts
    • Provision and support of desktop, laptop, mobile devices, cellular phones, and VoIP phones for users
    • Install and configure enterprise network equipment including routers, enterprise switches and wireless access points.
    • Setup and configure access to shared printers, multifunction devices and packing line printers.
    • Configure and administer file and printer shares.
    • Troubleshoot network, server, and desktop incidents.
    • Perform fixes to desktops and laptops including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware peripherals, and configuring systems and applications.
    • Ensure system security is maintained by installing and updating enterprise antivirus and antimalware.
    • Install and configure IP cameras.
    • Assist with structure network cabling and server rack patch panel installations.
    • Provide after-hours support during scheduled on-call rotations escalating issues to the team as required.
    • Provide excellent customer service and support to non-technical users.
    • Participate in the planning, installation, configuration, and maintenance of server-based systems.
    • Perform duties of team lead to prioritize and assign service desk tickets to team members
    • Mentor and coach members of the team

    Technical Requirements:

    Demonstrated experience and knowledge in the following areas:

    • Troubleshooting network, server, and system issues both remotely and on-site
    • Supporting current desktop and cloud-based applications (ex: Microsoft 365)
    • Planning, deploying, and managing virtual desktop and virtual application environments.
    • Maintaining current backup and data replication infrastructure
    • Administering and supporting Windows Server 2012 R2 and beyond
    • Installing, managing, and supporting Microsoft DHCP, DNS, Active Directory, File and Print Services
    • Working knowledge implementing and supporting Azure Active Directory
    • Installing, managing, and supporting Microsoft SQL Server

    Job Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • Degree or certificate from a program in Computer Systems, Information Technology or Network Administration or related field is preferred.
    • 3+ years equivalent work experience in a network support role
    • 3+ years equivalent work experience in a Help Desk technical role.
    • Relevant work experience in supporting a greenhouse production environment is a definite asset.
    • Current IT industry certification (MCP, MCDST, MCSA, CompTIA A+, Network+, VCSA) is an asset.
    • Exceptional interpersonal and written communications skills – fluent in written and oral English.
    • Spanish proficiency is a plus.

    Job Requirements

    • Educational background in Computer Science/Engineering or Information Technology preferred.
    • Hands on experience with software implementation and/or strong proficiency in working with computers and software programs are preferred.
    • Experience in data mining, building Excel models, Power BI reports, analysis, and reporting.
    • Familiarity with logistics and supply chain processes (e.g., inventory planning, warehouse management).
    • Strong working knowledge of MS Office, relational databases, and ERP systems.

    • Coordinate packaging requirements for 3rd party growers.
    • Coordinate weekly transfers and sales orders.
    • Highlights potential obsolete material, non-moving material to the Dry Goods Purchasing Manager for review.
    • Researching items requested, requesting a quote, ordering the most reasonable item based on price, warranty, service, quality, and availability. Generate quote summary and present to Purchasing Manager.
    • Additional duties as assigned by the Dry Goods Purchasing Manager.

    Job Requirements:

    • 3 or more years in proven experience in the agricultural/produce industry and/or purchasing, consumer packaging and/or material planning.
    • Extensive knowledge in MS Office (specifically Excel), ERP systems and CHEP program.
    • Post-secondary education in Purchasing/Inventory Management is preferred but not a requirement.
    • Excellent communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
    • Ability to maintain respectful relationships at all levels within and outside the organization.

  • Trials Development Manager

    We are currently seeking an applicant to join our team and fill a full-time Trials Development Manager position at our farm in Leamington, ON.  This is a 12 month contract position.

    Job Details

    The Trial Development Manager oversees all aspects of ordering the trial seeds to observations and reporting.  They assist with recognizing and assessing potentially viable new varieties. the different. The Trial Developer has a good understanding of what would be beneficial to plant the following year in the crop and can forecast accordingly.

    Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Develops and manages relationships with seed companies and seeks new opportunities
    • Sends data/observations to the seed companies
    • Obtains quotes and manages ordering and receiving of the seeds. When inputting orders, the Trial Developer also generates their own purchase order number rather than contacting Purchasing.  Liaises with Purchasing to order supplies.
    • Conducts tests of the trials. Tests include shelf-life testing, sugar/acid testing and general production.  During and after the testing, reports are created and sent to the seed companies
    • Arranges seeds for propagation
    • Arranges test panels and creates reports with the observation
    • Stays in contact with Sales/Marketing regarding any potentially viable new varieties.
    • Orders seeds for the Ohio location.
    • Business trips are required to visit with different seed companies. Potentially trips to Europe, the U.S and Canada.
    • Manages the R&D team
    • Actively involved in employee hands on training and follow-up to ensure all work is done efficiently and correctly. Training and development is required on an on-going basis
    • Motivates and encourages workers and communicates with them as necessary
    • Plans, delegates and leads the team well to improve performance and quality
    • Completes compulsory paperwork according to policies set out by Nature Fresh
    • Works closely with our other R&D facilities and trial centres.

    Job Requirements

  • Sales Junior Accounts Receivable Clerk

    Location: Leamington, ON

    Job Details

    The Junior Accounting Clerk will be responsible for assisting both accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as general ad hoc duties that will ensure the smooth running of the Sales Finance department.

    Job Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

    • Filing, scanning, and copying.
    • Data entry for Accounts Payable
    • Collecting and verifying invoices
    • Ensuring compliance with BDO Canada auditors
    • Preparing cheques for issuing
    • Ensuring data is up to date
    • Collecting mail and running errands for accounting, as needed.

    Job Requirements:

    • Previous working experience an asset
    • Organization and attention to detail are necessary
    • Good communication skills – both verbal and written are required
    • Able to work in a fast-paced environment, under tight deadlines
    • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and be able to problem solve
    • Good team player, and ability to communicate effectively with other departments as necessary
    • Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality regarding Company related matters
    • Computer literate. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Must be organized, have a good memory and time management skills for meeting tight deadlines
    • A valid driver’s license and use of personal vehicle are required

    Workplace Conditions

    • Working with minimal supervision for most of the day.
    • High degree of confidentiality regarding company related matters.
    • Full-time hours Monday to Friday.
