We are currently seeking an applicant to join our team and fill a full-time position as a General Labor at our Greenhouse in Delta, OH.
General Laborers are crucial members of our operation – they are essential for ensuring production moves forward every day. Without them, we would not be able to grow at the scale we do at Nature Fresh! General Laborers are taught all the skills necessary to work safely and efficiently, and they are expected to perform a wide array of tasks. A General Laborer will often be assigned to specific tasks that are most suited towards their skill set and previous experience.
Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with crop start up by placing coco slabs, placing drip hose, rolling out CO2 hose, planting, tying strings, clipping plants, applying biologicals, etc.
- Maintaining the crop by clipping, twisting, suckering, de-leafing, fruit pruning, lowering the plants, applying solution to scrapes, etc.
- Preparing product for market by picking the product, sorting product, packaging product, box making, stacking, cart driving, etc.
- Helping with the greenhouse clean out stringing, rolling out tarp, removing plants, sweeping, removing plant debris, washing, and sanitizing the greenhouse.
- General Cleanup will be expected in all areas of the greenhouse and packing facility on a continuous basis.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience is an asset – however, if the candidate shows commitment and a willingness to learn, we are willing to train.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to distinguish colors.
- Must be able to work Monday through Saturday and work unpredictable hours.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment screens (background and drug test).

We are currently seeking an applicant to join our team and fill a full-time position as a Shipping/Receiving Forklift Driver at our Distribution Center in Laredo, TX.
As a member of the Shipping/Receiving team, the Shipping/Receiving Forklift Driver is an essential part of the Distribution Center team. They are responsible for ensuring products are received, shipped, and handled in a timely, accurate and safe manner, and equipment is maintained.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all policies and procedures are followed to ensure that the product has not been contaminated.
- Load and unload inbound and outbound shipments safely and move product to storage locations. Product must be efficiently stacked and stored in appropriate areas.
- Pull and prepare product for shipment, ensure that the exact quantity and type of product is loaded and shipped according to orders.
- Inspection and verification of all shipments and incoming goods against packing slips and are free of damage.
- Inspect and perform minor maintenance on the forklift and other equipment.
- Undertake physical inventory counts and stock checks.
- Material handling and use of scan guns.
- Updating and maintaining all necessary paperwork in an accurate and timely manner.
- Preparing packing slips and ensuring coordination with driver.
- Ensuring equipment maintenance program is maintained and all safety measures and requirements are met.
- Ensure all walkways are kept free of debris to prevent slips, trips and falls as well as clean up any items lying around such as cords, baskets etc.
- Complete various cleaning tasks throughout the facility. The warehouse must stay organized, and FIFO must be practiced at all times.
- Maintain appropriate records and reports to guarantee accurate inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Forklift training must be completed.
- Forklift experience is mandatory, minimum of 1 year.
- Must be always safety conscious and follow all Occupational Health and Safety Act regulations and Company Policies/Procedures.
- Able to work well with minimal supervision for most of the day.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and attention to detail are essential.
- Must display a respectful, and positive attitude.
- Basic, efficient math skills required.
- Reading, writing, oral communication, and effective listening skills are essential job tools.

The Shipping/Receiving Clerk works closely with the sales, procurement, shipping, and receiving department to ensure supply chain operations processes run smoothly. He/she are the front line of shipping goods within the company. A Shipping/Receiving Clerk sees that accurate records are kept of all products received and shipped. Additionally, they are tasked with updating and providing accurate records of inventory.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Filling out and inputting temperature recorder information in NAV, Sensitech, TMS and Emerson Oversight.
- Recording and sending daily/weekly inventory templates, office supplies and seals through email.
- Input chep counts in the system and emailing chep counts daily.
- Printing and making load confirmations/load sheets and making sure information is accurate.
- Filling out and attaching permits, certificates, and inspection paperwork accurately.
- Answering phones and attending to drivers/and or anybody at window.
- Assigning bay doors appropriately and accurately for truck drivers.
- Send late truck notices to inform the logistics department.
- Record check-in times, start times, and check-out times of trucks in Smartsheets or TMS system.
- Report truck arrivals/departures to the logistics department, supervisors, and other clerks through TMS to ensure an even workflow.
- Handing out load sheets with accurate information for Shippers/Receivers to load trucks.
- Assisting drivers with any problem they may have – handle situations accordingly and appropriately.
- Data entry in Block Chain, Smartsheets and other systems.
- Assisting with printing tags and orders to separate and count pallets.
- Monitoring emails for revisions to sales orders.
- Verifying and entering the correct information into NAV for completed orders. Verifying that quality is complete on orders, printing the BOL’s.
- Assist with handing out orders evenly to shippers & printing pallet markers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Previous administration experience considered an asset.
- Previous forklift experience considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other software programs.

The HR Supervisor provides a full range of Human Resource and Health & Safety support to management and employees. This position is responsible for recruitment, employee training, engagement and retention, performance management, benefits, policies and procedures, and employee relations. In addition, it works cross-functionally with Health & Safety and is responsible for all Health and Safety practices, including training, incident reporting, workplace inspections and audits, as well as ensures that all employee safety issues are handled promptly and fairly.
Primary Responsibilities:
Human Resources:
- Full cycle recruitment including onboarding of new hires, orientations, associated administration/data entry and coordinating cross-functionally with applicable departments.
- Handle all administrative tasks including hires, separations, transfers, compensation increases, exit interviews, performance reviews, time and attendance, and key fobs, using systems such as ADP and ProWatch.
- Provide excellent customer service and act as a liaison for employees and management in relation to leave of absences, grievance matters, coaching discussions, Company policies/procedures, and all other employee-relation matters. Complete all necessary documentation and administration.
- Assist management with probationary and annual performance reviews.
- Guide and assist management through the progressive discipline process including disciplinary notices and coordinate meetings regarding coaching/disciplinary matters including terminations.
- Process complaints regarding violence, harassment, discrimination, or other instances of workplace harassment and lead any necessary investigations and disciplinary actions.
- Assist in developing and executing HR procedures and policies, providing guidance, training, and interpretation to management as needed.
- Present and provide recommendations using tools such HR metrics/analytics, labor forecasting, compensation analysis, policy/procedure development to improve turnover, and employee engagement.
- Ensure legal compliance of state and federal regulations and applicable employment, and Health & Safety (OHSA) laws.
- Coordinate, prepare and present all employee training related to Human Resources.
- Responsible for benefits administration, which includes tasks such as conducting benefit meetings, assisting with open enrollment, and tracking FMLA leave.
- Oversee and support Office Janitorial.
- Request production general labors to staffing agencies and keep track of daily hours as needed.

Health & Safety:
- Assess the company’s compliance with Health and Safety legislation to promote the well-being of workers in the workplace, avoid exposure to risk, and reduce risks related to workplace injuries and/or non-compliance fines and penalties.
- Ensure the Health & Safety board is updated with current OSHA regulations and internal information on a continuous basis.
- Verifying first aid kits, fire extinguishers, and eye wash/showers are, well stocked, easy to find, and in proper working condition.
- Conduct and ensure facility inspections are completed on a monthly basis. Ensuring equipment daily logs are being completed.
- Update and oversee the SDS database and files.
- Ensure training is up to date and recurrent training is completed as required. Ensure sign-off on all training.
- Conduct internal investigations as necessary post-incident/accident events and maintain all data/records.
- Provide first aid when required.
- Assist with ongoing H&S internal process development.
- Be available and/or present during any Department of Labor/OSHA or government job site inspections and follow up on inspection findings to correct reported items.
- Contribute to the development of the emergency response plan and assist with emergency exit drills and first aid certifications.
- Investigate and help respond to complaints and/or work refusals related to health and safety.
- Will act as chairperson for the Joint Health & Safety Committee and conduct quarterly meetings.
- Complete all new worker training orientations and coordinate and schedule re-trainings and re-certifications when required.

Qualifications:
- A post-secondary education or certification relating to Human Resources.

The Shipping Supervisor provides guidance to the shipping team to ensure all orders are accurate in quantity and that they have been staged and loaded without any damage. They also provide a role in ensuring the workplace is clean, orderly, and safe by reporting equipment malfunctions. Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensures success of the Shipping team through coaching and advising the team on how to improve their overall performance. Ensuring they are trained properly for all departmental processes and procedures.
- Report all labor and H&S related incidents.
- Ensure that the orders are picked accurately, following allocations and QC tagged product to ensure proper product is shipped to each customer.
- Ensure all information filled out on pick tickets are accurate and neat.
- Organize and prepare shipments for customers.
- General house keeping including maintaining a clean work area and equipment.
- Assist the team when needed with heavy work loads, picking, and loading trucks.
- Coordinate with the Receiving Department to prioritize the offloading of materials.
- Communicate with various departments throughout the Company to rectify discrepancies.
- Attend daily production meetings to address any issues or delays for daily shipments.
- Coordinate with Receiving and local the dispatch coordinator to ensure all product needed is picked up on time to meet ETAs.
- Ensure that various checks are performed including inspection of pre-ops for forklifts and truck interior for each load.
- Ensure employees are aware and follow all company policies.
- Ensure job descriptions are understood and followed.
- Assign and maintain workloads during down times by designating employees to assist in receiving, and cleaning, etc.
- Assist the Shipping Manager with performance reviews, incident reports, H&S investigation.
- Assist the Shipping Manager on various assignments and projects that may arise.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in demonstrated abilities in supervising a team.
- Previous experience in a produce warehouse setting would be considered an asset.
- 2 years of experience with forklift or material handling is required.
- High degree of confidentiality regarding employee and job-related matters.
- Experience and comfort in working with computers and software programs, specifically inventory systems and Excel.
- Excellent communication abilities, active listening skills and written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision in a team environment, some independent work.
