“I feel safe working here.”

Originally from Mexico, Giovanni C. came to Canada to become a Guest Worker with Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker (TFW) Program in 2016, and he has worked at Nature Fresh Farms since his arrival. Before coming to Canada, Giovanni worked for a forestry company in Mexico that planted new and removed old or damaged trees. We have been happy to have Giovanni as a member of our General Labor team!

Giovanni came to Canada to find a better life for himself and his family back home in Mexico, but he hopes to return to Mexico one day and start his own business: “I like a lot of things about life back in Mexico. When I was younger, I worked on a cattle farm—I wouldn’t mind starting something like that back home.”

Job security is something Giovanni is very thankful to have here at Nature Fresh Farms: “I think this is a very stable job for me. I live right by the farm, so I feel safe working here and I feel like I have good job security.”

When he has some free time, Giovanni enjoys playing sports like soccer. And during the colder winter months, Giovanni likes to stay indoors and read a book or try to learn something new!

As a fast learner who cares about his work, Giovanni makes sure he is doing his best each day to complete his tasks efficiently and confidently. Giovanni also believes it is important to respect his team members and to always be on time. Giovanni is one of our #GrowToPeople!
