Born and raised in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories Bill W. grew up to find joy in an active lifestyle. Whether it’s fixing things around his Wheatley farm or working on his car Bill thrives when he’s thinking critically and in constant motion, making him well suited for a career in long haul truck driving.

As a Driver, Bill cut his teeth on challenging northern mining roads, which he credits for developing his skills: “It’s a completely different world driving up there compared to the highways down south. Driving those roads made me a better Driver because I was able to sharpen my awareness and appreciation for safety.”

Having worked in the industry for over a decade, Bill is proud to supply communities with the essential goods they need to run: “If you buy anything in a store, it got there on a truck. If trucks aren’t moving anything, there’s nothing to buy. Grocery stores don’t get their food, hospitals and other essential services don’t get their supplies. It makes you feel good at the end of the day knowing your hard work makes the world run.”

Outside of work, Bill spends as much time as he can with his wife and two kids. A typical afternoon off for Bill usually involves spending time outdoors working on the farm and playing games in the yard.

As a Truck Driver, Bill is responsible for delivering our produce from the farm to grocery stores safely and on schedule. Bill is one of our #GrowToPeople!
