Before moving his family to Ontario, Dave D. lived and worked in Manitoba in the transportation industry. After moving up within this company, Dave and his family were relocated to their Blenheim, ON location in 2013. But in the early months of 2020, an opportunity came up that Dave couldn’t pass up, and he joined our team to become our Assistant Operations Manager in Leamington, ON!

After hearing about how exciting it is to work in fresh produce, Dave made the switch to our industry–and he has been enjoying the change: “I like this industry because it is exciting, fast-paced, and always growing. I’ve also been given opportunities here to pursue my passion for coaching people and helping them grow within their roles.”

Dave believes that Nature Fresh Farms is truly a community where everyone works together: “Although each department has their own workload, people are always willing to cross into other departments and help out when its needed. In this company, it’s rare for someone to say that something isn’t their responsibility or their job.”

One of Dave’s most defining moments was having kids–they changed his perspective so that everything he does is for them. So, it’s no surprise that Dave spends much of his free time with his kids doing fun activities like camping, ATVing, and going on family trips.

Alongside coaching and training members of our team, Dave is also responsible for ensuring our operations are running smoothly and that all departments are working together towards a common goal. Dave is one of our #GrowToPeople!
