“I really like the culture on this farm.”

Greg B. grew up in Fletcher, ON, and spent much of his youth helping with chores and fixing things on his family’s farm. He then worked for 27 years in the automotive industry, but when the company Greg worked for closed, he decided to find a new job and joined the Nature Fresh Farms Maintenance team!

With a lot of experience while he was growing up doing handy work on the farm, finding a job with our Maintenance team was a good fit for Greg: “I was always doing these types of jobs on the farm—fixing machinery and what-not. I really like the variety of this job since one day I could be tinkering with a machine, but another day I could be fixing PVC piping or replacing a pane of glass. Every day is an adventure!”

The team, culture, and company growth are what makes Nature Fresh Farms special for Greg: “The farm is growing so fast, so I’m always learning new things on the job. I also like working with a young Maintenance team, and I like that we have a very diverse workforce that learns from each other.”

Much of Greg’s spare time is spent with his kids and grandkids! But he also enjoys golfing, travelling (even if it’s just a weekend away somewhere in Ontario), and watching sports like the NFL and NASCAR.

Every day is different for a member of our Maintenance team—Greg’s various projects come to him whenever a new Maintenance ticket is submitted from someone at the farm. Whether that means Greg is fixing a machine, replacing old or broken parts, or installing a brand-new piece of equipment, Greg always works hard to meet the Maintenance needs of our farm.
