Born and raised in Windsor-Essex County, ON, Jake F. grew up surrounded by the local farming industry. His family grew and sold everything from apples to watermelons to field Tomatoes. His parents also grew Cucumbers and Bell Peppers in a 1-acre greenhouse farm – this is where Jake got to learn about greenhouse growing. For the past 13 years, Jake F. has been a member of the Nature Fresh Farms team!

Although he has held a few different positions within our company, one of Jake’s favorite parts about working in the Maintenance department is how much he learns each and every day: “I’ve learned so much since I started in this position – it’s unbelievable how much I learn in just one day! I’m always excited and eager to gain experience because it doesn’t just help you out at work, but in life.”

Jake is quick to talk about how much he enjoys working at Nature Fresh Farms: “In this area, I would consider Nature Fresh Farms to be one of the best places to work. Our management team is made up of some great people who help the community a lot, and they support their team with great benefits and even a retirement savings plan.”

Family is one of the most important parts of Jake’s life. No matter if he has a great day or a hard day, he loves knowing that when he finishes his work day, he will find a home full of joy with his wife and son to greet him.

As a member of our Maintenance team, Jake ensures the mechanics of our greenhouses stay up and running and repairs are made as quickly as possible. Jake also performs regular maintenance throughout our facilities to keep our operations in good working order. Jake is one of our #GrowToPeople!
