“I have a passion for technology.”

Keith has always been involved with computers. When he was a teenager, Keith did work on his high school’s network, and from there he continued to work with computers in every area of his life. When he was in university, Keith was told to choose a job that he would do for free – meaning a job that he was truly passionate about. That’s exactly what Keith has done – he is now the IT Manager for our farm!

His role at Nature Fresh Farms isn’t just about making sure our data and networks are secure and operating properly –it’s also about helping to grow our company’s IT capabilities: “Nature Fresh Farms is a place where we can push the limits of what IT can do and find new ways to make everything work better. We’re constantly searching for ways to push our company forward.”

Recently, Keith has been asked to speak at conferences across Canada to share how Nature Fresh Farms is using technology innovatively: “Speaking at technology conferences has been a great way to engage with people from the IT world in new ways, as well as discover new programs and tools to bring back to our farm.”

One of Keith’s defining moments has nothing to do with computers – his twin sons were born prematurely at 26 weeks, so Keith and his wife faced many challenges in the early years of parenthood. Now, Keith enjoys scuba diving with his 14-year-old twins – in 2019 they have recorded over 35 dives together and have gone as deep as 88 feet!

Alongside his IT team, Keith ensures our data is secure and available to our team members anytime, anywhere. Keith also works to continuously improve our network and find new technologies to move our company forward. Keith believes that people outside of the greenhouse farming industry should know that we embrace technology in innovative and unique ways. Keith is one of our #GrowToPeople!
