“Everyone I work with knows my smiling face and knows I’m always positive.”

Originally from Iraq, Samer D. waited in Lebanon for five years before, in 2018, he was finally able to move to Canada with his family to start a better life. In February 2019, Samer started working at Nature Fresh Farms in a General Labor position, and in May 2019, he transitioned to a new role as a Line Lead!

One of Samer’s favorite parts of working at our company is the people on his team: “I love my team because we work together like a family and we help one another. Our Supervisors are good to work with too – if I ever ask for help, they are always there. This is a really good company to work for.”

There are a lot of moving parts on a Production Line, and it’s Samer’s job to make sure all of those parts are organized and efficient: “I need to always keep my line organized, watch my team to make sure they’re packing everything properly, and check the little details like the labels and boxes we’re using. I’ve been really happy to have new work opportunities as a Line Lead this year.”

One of the best things that has ever happened in Samer’s life is having children. When Samer and his wife first moved to Canada, they had already had one child, and their second son was born soon after they arrived. Samer is excited to welcome a third son to their family at the end of 2019!

It is Samer’s number one priority to ensure all of our customers get the best products when they come through the Production area. Samer is also committed to ensuring his team has a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Samer is one of our #GrowToPeople!
