Grown in Ohio

Ohio Local and Proud

When you hear the phrase ‘supporting local’ what do you think of? For many, you might not imagine hundreds of people working hard on a 45-acre greenhouse, producing millions of pounds of juicy veggies each year. But that is exactly what local looks like on our farm in Delta, Ohio.

Since 2015, our proud workers in Fulton County have embodied a community spirit on a large scale, bringing the freshest produce to stores in the region. Our facility is operated by local Growers and Administrative workers who are committed to growing the freshest food to serve the community in which they live.

There are many incredible advantages to growing in Ohio, like creating good jobs and growing delicious Tomatoes year-round. Let’s explore how we are growing Ohio fresh!

Why Grow in Ohio

Strategically built-in northwestern Ohio, our Delta-based greenhouse allows us to quickly transport our produce your favorite grocery store.

Our facility is located on one of the longest interstates in the U.S., linking the east to the west and carving a path through the entire Midwest along the way. This proximity to such an important highway means that we can provide fresh food to millions of people within a 5-hour radius!

Reduced Food Miles

You have likely heard the term food miles, but may not know exactly what it means, and why it’s important.

Food miles help us measure the impact food has on our planet when it travels from the farm to your family. By looking at how, when, and from where food finds its way to your neighborhood, we can make sure it arrives in the greenest way possible.

By growing in Ohio, we’re reducing the thousands of food miles it takes to truck Tomatoes up from other regions. This means we’re not only reducing our carbon footprint, but also providing flavorful, locally-grown Tomatoes to your table.

Growing Year-Round

Our Ohio greenhouses are modeled after the very best European technologies, from robot-monitored machines and systems controlling the climate, to driverless carts that bring tomatoes straight to the packing line. Our Ohio greenhouses are always experimenting with new technologies to help grow, pick, pack, and ship your food all year long!

What We’re Growing

Our Ohio facility is known for growing high volumes of our hearty Beefsteak Tomatoes and juicy Tomatoes-on-the-Vine. Our amazing Growers in Delta are constantly in competition with themselves trying to outdo their performance from the year before.

Building a Stronger Community

Growing in Ohio means more than just doing business. We understand that to truly be a part of a community, our roots must go deeper, which is why we are committed to being a visible and charitable partner in the Fulton region.

Our team takes great pride in gathering at community events such as the Ohio State Fair and Delta Chicken Fest and goes above and beyond to donate to local causes like the Delta Open Door and Toledo Northwest Ohio Food Bank.

Our Grow-To People

Our operation in Ohio would not be complete without the over 100 employees in Delta who make our farm run. Such quick growth in this community has ensured steady jobs to the Growers, Guest Workers, and Administrators who truly care about how food is grown.

We believe in a culture of internal growth and in Ohio and across all our facilities. We believe by promoting hard work to achieve internal advancement, our Grow-To People can plant roots in their community, building long careers in a place they feel at home.

The Future is Bright in Fulton County

With so much growth already, our expansion in Ohio is not done! We are continuing to research exciting opportunities to grow our business and our employment in Ohio.

If you’d like to follow updates as they come regarding expansion and career opportunities in Ohio, be sure to subscribe for blogs, news, and email updates!
