What is Southern Exposure?
Southern Exposure is an annual event where hundreds of members of the fresh produce industry gather to network and share industry insights. The culture at Southern Exposure is unlike any other industry event – with a heavy focus on creating valuable connections and bolstering existing relationships in an engaging, intimate atmosphere, this event encourages both network building and valuable business exposure.
At this year’s Southern Exposure event, the Nature Fresh Farms team is excited to promote the expansion of our Organics program, as well as further discuss our continued commitment to year-round product availability. We have a lot of business growth to look forward to in 2020 and beyond – stop in at Booth 539 and we’ll tell you all about it!

Expanding Organics Program
According to the most recent report from the Organic Produce Network, growth of Organic produce sales continues to be strong. In 2019 the report states that Organic fresh fruit and vegetable volume increased by 4.6 percent. The numbers don’t lie – it’s clear that consumers are increasingly seeking out fresh produce options that they trust to fuel the health of their families.
In response to this category growth, our team has been hard at work developing a diversified Organics program that can deliver industry-leading freshness and quality to our customers January through December. We are not only growing Organic produce across over 60 acres of our own greenhouse facilities, but also marketing a wide range of Organic fresh produce commodities produced by our growing partners.
In 2020, we are growing and marketing the following Organic produce items:
- Red, Orange, and Yellow Sweet Bell Peppers
- Green Bell Peppers
- Beefsteak Tomatoes
- Tomatoes-on-the-Vine
- Mixed Cherry Tomatoes
- Cherry Tomatoes-on-the-Vine
- Red Grape Tomatoes
- Long English Cucumbers
- Mini Cucumbers
This list is only going to continue to grow as our Organics program expands! Stop in at Booth 539 to further discuss the future of Organic fresh produce with our team.
Promising Year-Round Availability
There is no denying it: our global network of partners is growing bigger and bolder every single day. And with a new decade before us, the Nature Fresh Farms team is ready to continue growing at an exceptional rate in order to maintain the trusted relationships we’ve built with both our industry partners and fresh-loving consumers.
In recent years we have expanded the footprint of our family-owned operations, surpassing 200 acres of vertically-integrated facilities in 2020. With facilities in both Leamington, ON and Delta, OH, we can produce both Tomatoes and Cucumbers 365 days a year, every year.
With our ever-expanding network of global growing partners, we also have stable access to fresh, consistently flavorful produce to market year-round. We currently market produce grown across over 900 acres of additional greenhouse farms, allowing us to meet fluctuating market demands and deliver excellence in every season!

Ray W., Director of Business Development
“To keep pace with the ever-increasing demand for more Organic options, we will be showcasing our expanded Organics category at this year’s Southern Exposure event. With expanded offerings of Organic greenhouse products, the Nature Fresh Farms Sales team has more selection to meet the increasing demand within this category. This really benefits our retail partners and creates a one stop shop for both greenhouse-grown Conventional and Organic Tomatoes, Peppers, Cucumbers and Snacking Tomatoes. We will also have on-hand our premium snack products with the opportunity to taste what differentiates us within the category.
For these reasons, I’m looking forward to showcasing our Organic greenhouse-grown product offerings, as well as visiting with the delegates and networking with the many professionals within the produce world.”
Conor C., Retail Sales Accounts Manager
“Now more than ever we are seeing the importance of sustainable, healthy eating. Our goal is to champion sustainability in the greenhouse industry and continue to provide consumers with the highest quality product that is grown and packaged in the most sustainable way. I am excited to showcase what we are working on with current and potential partners and build on relationships in a smaller, more intimate setting at the SEPC show.”
Frank N., General Manager

“Each year we continue to grow our own greenhouse operations and expand our market share.
